There is no doubt that small businesses are being hit very hard. One of the things we're working on now is identifying what businesses we can start to open back up. We closed businesses b/c we did not want to overrun our hospitals. We didn't want to have to ration ventilators.

We wanted to make sure that every Ohioan who did get #COVID19 would have the best medical care and the best shot at coming out of this ok. Now we're in the process of figuring out how to reopen businesses while also assuring the public that businesses can operate safely.

Small business men and women have told me that they don't' want to open back up if, in a few weeks, we have to close again.

So in this situation, we're trying to let businesses open back up, while not putting us at risk of having the whole healthcare system overwhelmed and then have to shut them down again. We're trying to get it right, but we understand this is very difficult for everyone out there.
