And here's one more thing @Genre_is_bts told me and we relate :
We desis, if unmarried, are not allowed to wear a bindi, nath and Maang Tikka together. What explains the actions of your girlies then?
And the ONLY reason why I'm not going off on idols doing it is because I know people are not educated about CA when it comes to our culture which I hope it changes someday.
And I hope people deal with such sensitive topics sensibly and not throw around words just for the sake of fan wars. This is definitely not about fanwars. This is about our culture and I hope everyone will be willing to look at it that way.
I think I haven't completely explained the henna thing. A lot of y'all are confused about it. We don't claim Henna as it comes from nature. It's not our to claim. It's about the way it's used. If you want to use to have western tattoos or fake freckles, it's okay.
It's only bad if you use it make patterns on your palm and forehand like desis do as it has a traditional root
I'm a Bharatnatyam dancer. Or should I say student? I've been learning it for years and it's still not enough. We devote our entire self to it, worship our ornaments used for that. This goes for other Indian traditional dances too. So the mudras used for the dances should not
be used freely. We spend years to be professional in it and seeing people blatantly mock it and use it for their own entertainment hurts us.
