When picking your meal plan, choose the 15 over the 19. The 15 meal plan gives you more flexbucks which allows to buy food at Subconnect, CFA, etc... The 19 meal plan does not have a lot

Xavier host review sessions, has resource center and your professor has office hours. Your tuition are paying these people so if you feel like you’re lacking in the class, go visit them! They are here to help.

Please be mindful of the credit hours you take. Know your limit so you’re not stressed and overwhelmed with all the classes. Ask upperclassmen about classes and also ask them if they could give you their old notes, quizzes and test. We want everybody to win!

Join clubs, do community service, attend events,COME OUT! I promise not doing anything will have you sitting in your dorm for five months doing nothing. This is also how you make great connections and find your long life colleges friends. Do be a stick in the mud

The higher you go, the quieter it gets. The second floor of the library is literally a social event lol. It’s loud and ghetto. If you need silence to study I recommend the fourth floor which is called “ the quiet floor “.

Coming to college you see everyone wasn’t raised the same. You won’t be living in luxury, 5 Star dorms but you get what you put in. Be mindful of your roommate. Have some decent courtesy because they live there too. Please be respectful and considerate!!!

Once you miss a class, it’s easy to start a trend of missing it again. Please remember you are paying thousands of dollars to come here. Do not waste your money and your parents. DO YOUR WORK. Have a support system that keeps you in check. We chasing a bag

I promise these sidewalks have almost broken more ankles than the whole NBA

Xavier’s Office is Career Services offers multiple resumé building workshops as well as other campus organizations. Attend those if you need help. They also help with writing personal statements for scholarships, research, grad school and various other opportunities

Xavier WILL push you to your breaking point. Your patience and faith will be tested but it’s all a part of the process. It’s okay to take a mental health day. There’s many students and faculty here to help you during your difficult times. Heal and then grind!

You. Don’t. Need. To. Go. To. Every. Party. If we being honest, if you went to one, you went to them all. And if you go, get the $5 early bird tickets. I personally prefer the house parties (because they free). We study through the week and party on the weekend.

New Orleans is a beautiful city and amazing culture. Go out and experience it. There’s the Jazz Market, the sculpture garden, the Murder museum, it’s so much history you could learn from one building. Explore the city but please be safe!
