This government has done zero for the businesses absolute zero. Everyday businesses are going under, people are losing their fuckin jobs and all our prime minister does is, he comes on tv, does his bloody #MannKiBaat on #Covid_19 and then leaves. Yes, he occassionally talks
About coming out with few measures. But all that comes out is absolute rubbish. His team of stooges did announce a moratorium of 3 months for the bank credits. But all it turned out to be a sham. That instead of helping, is a way to put businesses under mountain of debt.
Then he speaks about not firing employees. People around me are getting fired left, right and centre. No business gives a shit about what he says. And you know why? Because all he has done is a big zero to save businesses during this #pandemic.
Not just small entrepreneurs, but even medium and large businesses are cutting their losses by either firing departments or deducting salaries. When countries like #USA, #Canada, #Germany, etc are extending monetary support to ensure businesses can sustain themselves
our prime minister talks about #BangingThali and #LightingCandles. Our #FinanceMinister who claims to be an economics graduate doesn't take a single question on economics. In every press conference she says that they will come out with something concrete soon, but all they come
out is bullshit. Yes, absolute bullshit as people around me are losing their livelihoods by scores.
Most of the businesses, especially #MSME don't own their place of business. They operate from rented properties. This bloody government couldn't even bring out a notification
to enforce a rent free period for next few months. Deferring a payment is not a solution. If business can't pay the rent right now during this #lockdown, then that is obvious that it operates at vey low net margin. How would it pay accumulated rent later? Similarly, #SchoolFees
for children is just deferred. How the parents who have been laid off due to cost cutting measures by the corporate (thanks to #Coronavirus) will pay the accumulated fees later? Or even the parents who own small businesses? Has the government come out with anything yet? A big NO
Every time somebody questions the government on livelihoods, the only response they have...err... I am sorry... They don't have a response. Journalists respond on there behalf. And the bloody response is - 'Saving lives is a priority at this stage!'.
Are u fuckin kiddin' me?
Govt has multiple ministries and cabinet ministers with specialised portfolios for a reason. Why the heck they just can't work on saving businesses, #employment and livelihoods while their other colleagues work on saving lives?
You know why?
Because the intend is missing.
These politicians don't care about these pedestal issues of common men. They only care about saving large corporate.
Population of this country is around 136 crore. Let me throw few numbers on your face. They had plans to build a new parliament at a budget of around 20000 crore
You know if they just simply distribute this money amongst citizens, how much each one of us will get? Around 150 crore.
I know distribution doesn't make any economic sense and this can't work. But, next time if someone tells you that we don't have money to bailout small
businesses, throw this number on their face. This #pandemic #Covid19 won't ruin us, this government will if they don't do something about bailing out #MSME. And please no sham this time. We have had enough of it already.
And it's high time @PMOIndia starts doing press conferences. He is accountable to respond to our every concern. He just can't keep on doing #MannKiBaat when people are going through the worst phase of their lives. Enough of silence.
