Jody Morris - Chelsea Career - A Thread πŸ’™πŸ†
Morris, born 22nd December 1978, joined Chelsea in 1993, aged 15. Jody came through the youth system with friend John Terry.

At just the tender age of 17 years and 43 days, Jody was handed his first-team debut in the Premier League against Middlesbrough on 4th February 1996.
In doing so, Jody became the youngest ever player to play in the Premier League. Chelsea won the game 5-0.

The 1996-97 season saw Morris' first-team appearances increase. Making his first appearance of the season on the 18th August 1996 against Southampton in a 0-0 draw.
The 1999-2000 season was one to remember for Chelsea & Jody. Seeing Chelsea win the 2000 FA Cup Final against Aston Villa. Jody was a late substitute to help Chelsea defend their 1-0 lead.
Gianluca Vialli also made Morris captain for a brief time. A fact not many know.

However, when Vialli was dismissed and Italian Claudio Ranieri was appointed, Morris started to fall down the pecking order.
In 2003 Morris was offered a five-year deal by the blues but that was turned down.

Before leaving for Leeds, he made 173 appearances for Chelsea.
