Honey's Guide to Fairycore in Animal Crossing

These are just my opinion on what I think faecore/fairycore in AC looks like. There's a few things that set it apart from cottagecore, continue below!

Color: I think the use of bright color such as pinks, greens, violet, blues are important very important. Cottagecore/witchcore tends to lean heavily on earthy tones such as browns, pale/white and grey, greens, and reds. Image thanks to http://ambellina-jade.tumblr.com 

Secret paths/hidden spaces: I try to put these spots everywhere, these could be secret paths, hidden teraformed rivers, little pockets of surprises hidden amongst trees. I'm currently working on a fountain area tucked away behind a peice of forest. Image thanks to @ mori__tsumu

Asymmetry: I tend to teraform/ landscape things diagonally to mimic nature. Teraforming in diagonals is a little difficult at first but it gets a lot easier. I recommend @briclynforest tips on landscaping! Image by @ newcowwow

Landscaping/paths: Bunches of flowers in one space, mushrooms, small and big chopped tree stumps, clovers, stone and wooden paths! I go a little overboard with them. Image thanks to @ a_ddim

Water: the use of riverways and waterfalls everywhere is encouraged to play up the foresty aspect but not necessary if you haven't unlocked terraforming yet. make my rivers asymmetrical to keep it natural and waterfalls stacked and falling from either side Image by @malamoje

Flowers, flowers everywhere: I'm inspired by The Secret Garden and Ghibli flower scenes in this case! Hybrids in bright colors always look good. I personally use yellow, pink, white and green mums. I may switch to oranges and yellow in the fall and all white and pink in winter.

Whimsy: This is the key that sets this genre apart from cottagecore. Gnomes, tulip surprise boxes, insect models and fun decorations will give your island more playful magic! Good luck everyone, I can't wait to see your fairylands!
