My top 10 Kanye West songs (a thread):
NCITW was the first Ye song I ever heard and as a young kid the lyrics and beat stuck with me. From Frank’s hypnotic hook to Kanye’s in-your-face “dont fuck nobody without telling me” line (one of my faves) Kanye’s production works perfectly for what they were going for
This one is just so good. Bouncy synth rhythms keep me from not bumping my head, creating a perfect summertime vibe. Kanye’s lyrics about the disconnect between him and his girl as well as their affection is perfect over the beat.
This song is so underrated. Imo one of his most personal and beautiful songs. Talking about his regretful choices (although not apologizing

Flawless liquidy smooth production, several musical stages that keep you constantly listening, 10/10 guitar solo, ofc Kanye rapping and his lady problems, and beautiful vocals from Justin Vernon, and an amazing section from 3:10-end. Stellar.
Only reason this song isn’t higher is from overplaying. The most iconic piano note EVER. Kanye talks about his struggles communicating his feelings to women while giving a heartfelt apology is agonizing. Perfect feature from push and one of the best outros. Which is half the song
Kanye rapping over madlib beat is ear sex. The only songs Kendrick’s ever been outrapped even though his verse was incredible. Kanye’s entire 2:55 verse is his unsteady stream of consciousness. Like he’s digging through his “other” file and laying it all out in this one song.
I can’t get enough of this song. Arthur russels track goes perfectly on this. Kanye raps over a beat which is PERFECT for late night and long drives, andres vocals bring power to the track as he once again raps about his problems with women.
The next 3 songs genuinely helped save my life. Beautiful devotion to his faith and his struggles to live the way he’s supposed to. As well as lyrics that cement himself as the ultimate artist and icon. The synth halfway through is ear sex as well as Samphas vocals.
Whenever I feel trapped, guilty, held back, sad, like I can’t do anything, this song takes it away. One word to describe is beautiful. Beautiful guitar solo, Kanye’s most ambiguous yet vulnerable lyrics. I love the outro and I LOVE when he says “all the whine” . Nut.
