This is such an irresponsible show.
It actively encourages disordered eating behaviour.
A key component of EDs is the need to “compensate” for food they have eaten with exercise + depriving food when they have not exercised.

For anyone considering watching this show tonight:

So first of all:
1) Do not watch this show.
2) You need to eat everyday. Even if you have not exercised
3) Exercise is not about punishing your body or compensating for the food you consume
4) Food, especially in lockdown, is allowed to be more than fuel. It is a source of enjoyment so learn some new recipes, bake something new.
5) Exercise can be a source of enjoyment too. Disconnect it from weight loss and calories.
One of the many problems with equating exercise + calories is that it builds a hierarchy of “better” exercise. The best exercise is the one you enjoy the most!
FINALLY you are doing the best you can. This is a hard time + we didn’t need a diet culture show to add to our misery.
Also it’s actually inaccurate because viewers will be watching this and translating it to themselves. You can’t copy and paste calories. We can go on the same run at the same speed and our bodies will burn different amount of calories
