Let me tell y’all how my morning has gone.

I worked the night shift last night and this morning at shift change, my coworker brought in a birthday card for our boss, passed it around for everyone to sign. This was the card.

This is obviously a Viagra/erectile dysfunction joke, right? Time for audience participation:

Well, I sign before reading the card, my usual “Happy birthday! Have a great day! -Lauren :)”

Then I actually look at the card and start to panic. I’ve signed a dick joke card! For my boss!!!!

I have a 40 mile commute. When I tell y’all I worried about what to do the whole way home...I am not exaggerating. I didn’t want to be rude to my coworker who bought the card. But also it’s a Viagra joke! My boss is a very awkward and non-confrontational man who would hate this!

Anyway I finally got up the guts to text another coworker about it:

I am so glad I said something and did not tacitly endorse this penis card. Let this be your reminder to always read cards before you sign them and don’t let your coworkers make penis jokes on accident.
