I've been volunteering w/ @SAFEteamrescue for several years now, both fostering (you may remember most recent pandemic fosters Connor and Milo, who were adopted to a great family together) & at their shelter. SAFE Team needs your help to keep that shelter open. #yeg #yegpets (2)

One of @SAFEteamrescue's best tools in their attempt to save kitties is their shelter, which gives them a place for people to meet adoptable kitties, places for the kitties to live and socialize and play while waiting for adoption, & to receive any medical care. #yeg (3)

That shelter space (4 large comfy rooms) has been generously provided to @SAFEteamrescue for 4 years now by Cozy Kitty Accommodations, an excellent cat-one boarding facility. But that facility is now threatened by the pandemic, which has cut Cozy's business by 90% (4)

People can't travel, so don't need boarding for their kitties, so now Cozy is worried about staying open. If Cozy closes, #yeg loses not only an excellent small business but also Cozy's rescue work of providing space to SAFE, other rescues, Edmonton Humane & Town of Calmar. (5)

Please, #yeg, consider a donation to @SAFEteamrescue. That donation can help to keep Cozy's doors open, which means SAFE's doors can stay open to rescue cats. I know funds are tight for most of us right now, but every donation no matter how small can help save an important rescue

The dreaded Kitten Season, when unspayed girl cats meet unneutered boy cats causing an explosion in unwanted kittens (and abandoned mommies!) is almost upon us and #yeg needs all the help it can get to deal with Kitten Season, in addition to the regular need for rescue.
