While Kuwaiti trolls are preaching India on religious equality, Kuwait doesn’t give citizenship to Hindus & non-Muslims. They must convert to Islam for at least five years before the grant of naturalisation is considered. Citizenship is revoked if they don’t behave like Muslims.

Let’s look at the rampant gender discrimination in Kuwait: Kuwaiti women married to foreign spouses cannot pass their Kuwaiti citizenship to children or to their spouse. Kuwaiti fathers, however, have the right to pass their citizenship to their children and to a foreign spouse.

A woman in Kuwait has the right to seek divorce only for a few specified reasons only, including if she has been abandoned or abused, or if the husband has failed to pay alimony. The woman will have to prove injury. A husband on the other hand can divorce his wife “arbitrarily.”

In Kuwait women inherit a smaller share than men. For instance, a daughter has the right to a share of the inheritance that is half of her brother’s share. They don’t the right to adopt children. Children are taken away from them if they divorce except custody till certain age.

While trolls from Kuwait & Gulf Emirates are ‘questioning India’ there is no specific law against domestic violence in Kuwait. Code allows lenient sentence to a man who kills his wife, mother, sister or daughter for dishonor. Gender violence & rape against immigrants is rampant.

Women in Kuwait aren’t allowed to become judges. Women aren’t allowed abortion even in case of Rape. But Kuwaiti trolls are trolling Tejasvi Surya for a deleted five yrs old tweet where he quotes an someone else. Maybe avoidable but Arab trolls should work on their own countries.

In several Arab countries like Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Bahrain, Morocco, Lebanon, Palestine there is ‘Marry-your-rapist law’ where rapist gets away without punishment if he marries his victim. Maybe Arab trolls should outrage against this instead of preaching India?

Kuwait: law prohibits the defamation of the Abrahamic religions and denigration of Islamic and Judeo-Christian religious figures while non-Abrahamian religions like Hinduism aren’t even recognized. And Kuwaiti trolls are pretending how they treat everyone equally.

While Kuwait pays salary & expenditures of Sunni mosques, Shias get nothing. Hindus and non-Muslims can practice their privately if ‘Muslims aren’t disturbed’. They lack sufficient religious facilities, religious clerics to bless births & marriages, & conduct death rituals.

Law in Kuwait prohibits non-Muslims from eating, drinking, and smoking in public between sunrise and sunset during Ramadan with a prescribed maximum penalty of up to 100 dinars ($330) and/or one month’s imprisonment. It is illegal to possess or import pork products & alcohol.

Hindus and non-Muslims, even Shias, in Kuwait aren’t allowed public display of their faith or celebrate their festivals in public. There is ban on sale/available of non-Muslim religious literature in books shops. Kuwait prohibits & censors mention of Holocaust of Jews.

Prominent clerics and leaders in Kuwait publicly rant to further restrict (almost non-existent) religious freedom of Hindus and non-Muslims.
