Sourcing as many enteral feeding pumps as possible, ensuring they are cleaned & charged & ready to go to the Critical Care Areas. Contingency plans are in place in the event that feeding pumps have run out. #Covid19UK #whatdietitiansdo

We've developed a Standard Operating Procedure for Medical&Nursing teams to use with patients who cannot access a quick Dietitian review &also training up other Dietetic Team members to assist on Critical Care,providing clinical supervision to them. #whatdietitiansdo #Covid19UK

We've also been using intelligence from Dietitians across the UK on their experiences of enteral feeding #COVID19 patients to put ensure supplies of the most needed enteral feeds are available, this ensures we are prepared & skilled in areas such as feeding the proned patient.

We've been working remotely In Critical Care to preserve PPE for Critical Staff and avoid being super-spreaders .By using information from ICE and Nerve Centre including photographs uploaded by the medical and nursing teams we have been able to formulate feeding plans #covid19

We had a team of Dietitians in on Good Friday and Easter Monday to review our most critically ill enterally fed patients. We are happy to meet the demands of our service and ensure patient care is our TOP priority. #COVID19 #whatdietitiansdo

Many Dietitians in the service have volunteered to help out on ICU or working in the background e.g. pumps, enteral feeds and we are working as one fabulous team! Great evidence of support and team working from everyone!
