This is a step by step guide on how to use #Dokeza to share your views on Bills.

1. Type http://dokeza.mzalendo.com  on your web browser.

2. This will lead you to the homepage where you will find several tabs: Home, Bills, Other Documents, Open Memoranda, In Committee, Plenary Session, Commentary Closes and Events.

Just above "Events", at the top right click on "Login/Sign up" #Dokeza #PublicParticipationKE
3. Register with your email and password or sign up with your social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter or Gmail)

4. Fill out your details to create your #Dokeza profile and click "update"

5. Click on "Bills" at the top left, next to the "Home" tab

6. Select the Bill you may wish to share views on, for instance, "The Pandemic Response and Management Bill, 2020"

7. If you're interested in other legislative proposals such as the recent PFM (National Toll Fund) Regulations, 2020 then click on the "Other Documents" tab right next to "Bills"

8. As you go through the Bill, select the section you want to give your views on and click on the editing icon

9. Type in your comment in the comment section and add a relevant "tag" to help categorize your comment.

Examples of tags in Pandemic Response Bill can be "Emergency Fund" "Pandemic" which make it easier when searching for common issues on Bills availed and annotated on #Dokeza
10. Check the box to if you wish to allow anyone to view your annotation and proceed to click "save". Place the cursor over your highlighted section to view your comment & tags.

11. Proceed to refresh your page to view your comments that will appear on the annotation column on the right.

12. @MzalendoWatch shall then proceed to collect yours and other citizens' views that will be put together in a memorandum to be shared with the relevant authorities. The final draft of the memorandum shall be shared on #Dokeza and through our social media platforms.
