As our country navigates their response to the #COVID19 pandemic, please consider how powerful it is to have doctors and other clinicians in elected positions.

Why? #Thread 1/5
So much policy recently (and ahead, we hope!) has been focused on healthcare, and we need experts at the table helping steer these decisions--not as guests, but as full members of the House and Senate. 2/5
There are some amazing candidates--incumbents and some challengers new to the scene--who KNOW the urgency of changing the way we think about health because they ARE healthcare professionals. They know best how to consider health in ALL policies. 3/5
But docs and other frontliners are also now disproportionately affected by decreased bandwidth to do things like raise money for their campaigns b/c they're doubling down on taking care of their patients. 4/5
Please support them--specifically my buddy, @priteshgandhimd, who’s running for Congress amidst all this—while still being a #primarycare doc and a dad. We need him now on the frontlines. We need him next year in Washington. And he needs your donations to make that happen. 5/5
