Dear Parents,
Stop. Stop comparing your child to someone else. Stop forcing your child to be someone else. Stop abusing your child. Stop pressurizing your child. Stop pushing your child to be someone they are not. Stop thinking that your child's life is your decision.
Your child is not the same person as you and you have no idea how much your words hurt. Stop thinking that whatever you do is for their best because it's really not. Just learn to appreciate your child before they make a wrong decision and leave you forever.
Don't ever discourage your child from following their dreams. A parent's support is the most important thing for a kid and sometimes you just ruin that. Just cause your daughter's a lesbian or she wears black doesn't mean she is different. Love her for who she is.
If your child opens up to you, they expect you to support them not call them names like "sensitive" or "stupid". If they ask you to take them to a psychiatrist then please listen to them or they're gonna make some bad decisions.
Finally, this one's for my parents. You don't get to decide who I marry. You don't get to decide their gender. You don't get to decide what I wear. You don't get to decide who I wanna be. I used to love you at some point but now all I can see you as is monsters.
another thing, just cause you're fucking religious doesn't mean you force your child to believe in it too. Imagine being bisexual and your parents are so homophobic that you literally feel like a mistake everyday. Stop forcing your child to believe stuff they don't want to.
it's 2020

grow up and try to be open minded
