Halfway in, and I can say that this cnovel is a DELIGHT.
It is sweet and funny. Lots of domesticity (shopping together, cooking for each other), and a few coffeeshop shenanigans.
Importantly, the couple communicate with each other! They talk things out! THIS IS MY KINK, OKAY.

On a more serious note, I also like how, even in the first half of the novel, there is some exploration of the differences in world view and priorities between someone who is 24 years old vs someone who 36 years old.

It's a warm and quiet story, with a lovely balance of humour and introspection.
Ting Shuang's character growth was amazing. It as much a story about growing up, as it is about two people learning how to communicate and falling more in love for it.
