I'm curating stories of Igbo women that lived thru Biafra.
Particularly the Biafran women soldiers and those who traded behind enemy lines i.e afia attack.

The main plan is to have a digital archive similar to Humans of New York.
Also plan on using them as fodder for a novel.
This is a long shot cause talking about the war is traumatic, but can the Igbo women on my TL,
kindly interview their mothers, aunts etc about life in Biafra?
Also try to get photographs of your parents if possible.

Ask them how the war changed gender structures and stuff.
I'm doing this cause I've had an idea about writing a novel primarily about women's experiences during the Biafran war,
but it seems most of the first hand accounts/research which are not enough still centre majorly on men's issues.

I don't want the erasure of Igbo women
Pls RT.
My dm is open. My email for further inquiries is [email protected].

I would love to hear stories about surviving, loving and finding time to thrive as women in Biafra.
Also, the difficult stories bordering on silence and victimhood.
