Project Genesis Isolation is over. Project Super Corona Entertainment System begins. No favorites yet, but I’m marveling at how developers used to release two different games at the same times for different systems.

Animaniacs
Alien 3
Aladdin
The SNES has been a bit of a bust through letters A & B so far top contenders are:

Asterix & Obelix
Batman Returns
Battletoads in Battlemaniacs

But none of those are quite perfect.
I will say, that Batman Returns is probably the closest to perfection any classic Batman game has been. Just pure sidescroller, Batman-themed beat ‘em up action. Just... a bit repetitive even by genre standards.
Finding favorite SNES games has been the most challenging so far. Could be that my standards are getting higher the further I go... But it also just seems like a system made for grindingly difficult longplays. Lots of well designed neat looking games that have no learning curve.
My lone favorite SNES game through letter D in my 800ish game catalogue is Cyberntor. That game rules hard.
Even having found fewer great games I love, I will say SNES is pretty clearly just a better quality experience than Genesis. The baseline game quality is higher all around, even if I'm not getting the same few big hits out of it yet.
Follow up on this are dueling Bugs Bunny games, Bevis & Butthead games, Batman Returns, and Boogerman games.
