So some guy (Director of the Welcome trust?) Has gone on Sky News this morning talking about how the UK is past the peak of the first wave with zero evidence of this when we haven't even had a peak yet. This is very dangerous talk (1/3).

This guy has allegedly based this on the knowledge that the number of deaths was 888 prior to the weekend to just under 600 yesterday. Yet it's a known fact since the outbreak began the numbers drop considerably on the weekend (2/3).

We're going to get a better look on the numbers properly tomorrow for that timeframe and even then until the numbers continue to drop for a relative time period we cannot say we're "past the peak". Very dangerous (3/3).
