I'm seeing lots of tweets about how much time parents are spending homeschooling. I don't get it. I did Correspondence School for 5 years. I'd have everything done for the day by lunch and spent the afternoon on the farm with Dad. Very rarely asked my Mum anything. Lessons were,
as far as I recall, self contained. Admittedly, Correspondence School had been running a while, was a well-oiled machined. Our current situation is different, but I can't help wondering if parents are getting too involved? With the best intentions of course, but maybe
just a tad overprotective? I really can't make an assessment as I'm not seeing the lessons or the structure first hand.

Any other Correspondence School people of 1960s New Zealand recall what it was like for them?

This kinda took off with lots of ensuing discussion. I can't keep up! Plus I am out tomorrow so won't be around to respond. Thank you all for participating! đŸ„°đŸ„°
