We’re at the place now where the journos primary goal in these briefings is to have a confrontation to raise their name recognition. Not to obtain and share information. And they’re rewarded for it by their friends and coworkers.
The way the press are behaving in these daily briefing reminds of something I heard Rush say once about why he didn’t go on the shows way back in his early days. Specifically to counter some of the bad press he got from being misquoted and taken out of context...
Rush said he found out quickly that when he did interviews, that the journo really had no interest in what he was saying. They weren’t interested in him clearing something up or learning what he meant. That was never the goal. They only wanted to get a headline to smear him...
They would have a list of gotcha questions and no matter how he answered them, they kept firing them off. If a reporter really wants to make you look bad, it’s difficult to spend an hour with them and not have them get something to use.
They’re doing the same thing with Trump now. Crenshaw explaining to Bill Maher what was going on in February is info that is available to all of the Bluecheck Brigade, but they don’t care. Oh, the rest of the world wasn’t locking down and we had almost no cases? So what?! OMB.
Now these 3rd-rate hacks are going in there with no other objective than to go viral by confronting Trump. Their friends love it. So do their coworkers, bosses, and they get their true validation from leftist Twitter. The actual pandemic is really an afterthought.
If these fuckos want to give him a roto rooter exam when this is over and find out what we could’ve done better, go for it. But they’re giving Trump a postmortem and we’re still in quarantine. There’s an election to win, after all.
Want to know why we cheer on your job losses, why thousands of tweets told you to learn to code, why we don’t trust a gd word that comes out of your sewer hole? This is why. The state of journalism is a joke. Oh, here come your reputation. 🖕
