book twitter has this problem where it acts like all gay fiction is YA and then when an adult gay fiction book gets popular they criticize it for not being written like YA, for containing adult themes, for including explicit gay sex, etc and it's bullshit.

some of y'all are legitimately so self-centered, so ignorant of what gay adulthood even is & so disgusted by the mere thought of gays doing more than holding hands that you can't even comprehend that adult gays might write fiction that isn't meant for children.
