twi isn’t even the official national language of ghana. english is (as well as being a lingua franca in ghana), hopefully i’m educating & bringing awareness on this xx

my point of this tweet wasn’t even to say my tribe is better etc etc, it’s just to show twi speakers that they should be mindful and not assume everyone speaks it. or to look down on someone who doesn’t. because Ghana is home to hundreds of languages. don’t be ignorant.

people who speak twi may have NEVER experienced what we experience as other tribes when we are told we aren’t ghanaian (enough) or are looked at funny simply because we don’t speak twi, nobody asks us if we are from another tribe or speak our own native tongue.

this tweet was for all the other tribes aswell, just to let you know that I see you, we all see each other. we understand the frustrations, we all stand in unity. this tweet wasn’t to be divisive but ignorant people took it that way which is unfortunate... love 2 my Ghanaians
