Hey @Walgreens, today I watched my pharmacist call 30 people trying to get her shift covered so she could go home as she vomited, had an O2 SAT of 93%, a low grade fever, and a cough. Tell me why, instead of letting her close the pharmacy and leave, the DM asked her,
"Did you call *everyone* on the list:?" AN HOUR after she initially reported illness? Why was the pharmacy not immediately shut down while the DM looked for coverage? Supposedly, the policy is "Leave immediately if you're symptomatic."
The DM toyed with our lives today. The folks in the store, pharmacy staff, patients, and everyone they live with. the store made such an effort to accommodate her (changing out her trashcan bags, getting her Gatorade, proving moral support), and couldn't do anything anyway.
I don't understand, and I don't feel safe. I feel the staff's lives are undervalued, and the pandemic is ignored outside of appearances (the masks are thinner than phyllo, the hand sanitizer given to employees is expired by 2 years, and the Plexiglass coverage is pathetic).
While there's an appearance of caring and protection, I don't feel it. Protect your employees and patients.
