THREAD: WHY DO BRAZILIANS ASK FOR ASSISTANCE TO THE ARMED FORCES?

1. As the media will distort everything that happened today, I need to say what happened here for the world: Unlike the USA, the Brazilian people were absolutely disarmed by the previous socialist governments.

Several governors (Bolsonaro's opponents) are using the pandemic to take away people's freedom.
Impeding people from working and trying to destroy the federal government's economic reserves to make Bolsonaro look like an economic disaster.

In addition to that: the Congress wants to make Bolsonaro suffer an impeachment process, even without finding a reason. Creating sordid ways for the presidential direct order to be annulled by Congress day after day.

The last hope was the Supreme Court, but it has not obeyed the Federal Constitution. Thus, if the people cannot count on the Legislature, nor can they count on the Judiciary, the people decided to charge the President.
People are asking President to prevent a coup from Congress.

People made the biggest in-car protest in the history of Brasilia. The protestors left Congress and headed for the Armed Forces Headquarters in the country's capital.
The people are unarmed. What else could I do?

Not only Brasilia (Capital): Protesters have taken to the streets across Brazil, demanding that governors reopen economies shut by the coronavirus pandemic.
The Brazilian people are asking the Armed Forces for help.
