Putting it all together, those most at risk from dying from these two diseases can't see their Doctor now for preventive treatment because we've shut the country down.
That means those who could have lived w/ early treatment won't get it.
They will die because of this policy.

(Sidebar: You want to get even more depressed? Think about the dementia patients in nursing homes that are no longer being visited by their loved ones because of the one size fits all lockdown order.

& this doesn't mean coronavirus isn't serious. It most certainly is. But our response needs to be proportionate to the threat that this disease poses. And our response right now makes it seem like the only thing people are at risk of dying from is covid & nothing else.
And that perspective needs to change.

But put it in perspective. Atherosclerosis and cancer kill 1.2M.

Every year we will lose more people to those two diseases than we will EVER lose to this coronavirus.
