Why aren’t black Americans as proud to be American as the other black countries in the diaspora?

You hear West Indian people rave about their country more so than their blackness. Why is that black Americans cling to their blackness more than their country?
What do y’all make of this??

Here’s the motivation behind the question since some of y’all are having difficulty.

She was loud about being black as if a PR couldn’t also be black. Why not scream about being American?

Oh!

Y’all don’t know what diaspora means 😂😂😂😂😂😭
Let me also say I love and respect everyone who had a thoughtful, adult response to this question.

The rest of y’all....
Here’s what I’ve learned so far:

1. Black Americans have deep routed unresolved trauma that they’ve yet to assess based on the aggressive responses

2. Black Americans don’t know much if anything about the history of slave countries in the diaspora.
