ok so ive seen a lot of ppl who are not really fond of tendou and genuinely don't like him
so i've decided to make a thread to explain why he's actually a pretty cool and interesting character who's also a pretty lovely

imagine trying to do something you really like, something that requires you to be a part of the team. but what you're getting is hate and all you can see is a wall between you and your teammates. not because you're bad in what you're doing, but because of how you look
i'm pretty sure it would make you to back off and give up on trying, because if your team doesn't accept you, then what's the point? you can't play volleyball alone. but somehow..tendou didn't. he still worked hard in his own strange way. he kept on playing volleyball.
so what do we have now? tendou, being a part of one of the strongest teams in haikyuu. even more, he is accepted and genuinely loved by his teammates. he could be a pretty bitter character who's self-centered and aggressive, BUT
he's always complimenting his teammates, no matter what. he admires and supports them with all his heart, giving them the spotlight they deserve.
he acknowledges their strength and not trying to be overpowering and competitive to be the ace of the team.

also...his big sexy brain! the way he analyzes what he sees in front of him. the way he feels the court. and what do we have here? before many hated tendou because of this ability, but now? just look at this sweet panel. *mwah* i love it here
now to my absolute favorite part. his relationships with ushijima. we all know ushijima, right? a tall, powerful guy who scares other people. and what do we have here? tendou, making ushijima his friend. tendou admires him and THIS PANEL RIGHT HERE OFFICER
also hear me out: he actually listens to ushijima. he is attentive and caring. maybe ushijima doesn't talk too much and not really good at expressing his feelings, but tendou understands him easily. but i honestly believe it is because he worked hard to be a good friend.
i love this moment a lot. tendou is so damn attentive. he actually wants to get to know ushijima. tendou wants to know him better, understand his feelings and motives. he also said sorry, because he felt like he asked something that can make ushijima upset.
what i'm trying to say that the way people see him as some kind of a creepy sociopath is making me sad. he is a good boy who deserves to be loved. he is strong, smart and kind. im out.
