Books I Read In 2020!

#1 - Darkest Hours - Mike Thorn

An amazing collection that felt like it took some of the loopier Junji Ito story hooks and the atmosphere of a good Stephen King story and made them its& #39; own thing. A clear love for old horror movies absolutely helps here.
#2 - Song For the Unraveling of the World - Brian Evenson

Extremely good surreal body horror stuff! Loved seeing the repeating themes of things wearing other peoples& #39; skin, cracks in reality that other things peer out of... Especially liked the stories that delved into sci-fi.
#3 - The Loop - Jeremy Robert Johnson

I& #39;ve been graciously gifted an ARC of this, and i devoured it in almost one sitting. A small town body-horror sci-fi conspiracy thriller that never lets up once it gets going. Loved the cast of teenagers trying to survive a night of hell.
#4 - The Return - Rachel Harrison

God, this was fantastic. Touching and sweet and disgusting and extremely creepy. Can’t recommend this enough.
