LONG THREAD

1)
The @WHO & its Director-General @DrTedros are under criticism for aiding China in keeping a lid on the #coronavirus outbreak & not sharing vital, life-saving info with the world.

WHO & Tedros have a very similar approach when it comes to the regime in #Iran.
2)
Tedros Adhanom, former Ethiopian health & foreign minister, became WHO chief after promising reform.

Months later he appointed Robert Mugabe (of all the people) as the “WHO Goodwill Ambassador.”

Tedros rescinded this decision under int’l pressure.

3)
Just a month after meeting with Russian President Putin, Tedros appointed Russian Health Ministry official Teresa Cassava as Director of the Global TB Program to fight tuberculosis. Due to Russia’s poor TB record, this decision also resulted in criticism from many experts.
4)
Tedros was the Ethiopian Health Min from 2005-12, during which Ethiopia faced three cholera epidemics in 2006, 2009 & 2011.

Thousands died yet the government refused to announce a state of emergency despite int’l warnings. Economic reservations were probably more important.
5)
China played a vital role in Tedrom’s appointment as WHO chief. Beijing invited Tedros for a speech at Pekjing Univ. a month prior to the WHO chief elex.

A day after his appointment, Tedros emphasized on the one-China principle’s success & again Taiwan failed to join the WHO.
6)
As previously mentioned, Tedros has a similar approach vis-à-vis Iran, praising this regime’s health policies.

Iran’s media outlets rejoice WHO’s support in their cover up of the coronavirus severity & instantly push their talking points/false narrative about U.S. sanctions.
7)
The WHO under Tedros will never question Iran’s hoarding practices.

Video: Over 100 medical/surgical gloves hoarded in a warehouse in Alborz Province, northern Iran.

Iranians say the regime’s Revolutionary Guards is behind these hoarding measures.

"They're burying 2 people who died of the coronavirus behind our house... I asked them why, they insulted us & brought the police... When you don't let people get closer than 100m, how can you bury them just 20m from my home?!" the man asks in fury.

@WHOEMRO said in March that Iran is “evolving in the right direction” & showing “positive work.”
Let’s take a look.

Reports indicate the IRGC is labeling air fresheners (R) as anti-bacterial spray (L) aiming to profit from the COVID-19 crisis.
19)
"I purchased an anti-bacterial spray at a drug store. When I tore off the label, I saw its actually an air freshener... They're selling air fresheners as anti-bacterial sprays. The brand belongs to the IRGC," the man says.
20)
Mashhad, NE Iran
“Antiseptic hand gel” sold these days in Iran is actually normal hand creme for ladies.

People say the regime's IRGC has companies placing labels on various items to deceive the public & make huge profits.
21)
"Regarding the €5 mn from Europe & WHO aid, the items are being sold... This was among the products provided by Germany to Iran," the man says.

Any thoughts, @WHO & @WHOEMRO?

Any thoughts @DrTedros, @WHO & @WHOEMRO?

Do you still believe Iran is “not covering up its COVID-19 severity,” “evolving in the right direction” & “showing positive work?"
