There’s no going back to “normal”. This is the new normal. We better get used to it, fast. (1/11)
We will soon realize that 1.5 hour commutes were wrong and unnecessary, and that our value shouldn’t be measured in number of hours spent sitting at our desk. (2/11)
We’ll start valuing more those who spend their days on their feet, cleaning our streets, delivering our food, healing the sick, keeping us safe. And some of us will have to find new ways of adding value to society with our ideas, leveraging technology, executing from home. (3/11)
There’s no going back to small talk, to irrelevant human interaction. We will now cherish those precious moments with our true friends and loved ones, we will not take for granted a hug from mom and dad, we will not argue about silly stuff with our siblings. (4/11)
We probably won’t talk about the weather or the local sports teams with our friends, but about meaningful things in our lives. (5/11)
Whether we like it or not, we’ll have to get more involved in our children’s education. As a result, our bonds will grow stronger, but we’ll have to learn about child psychology, teaching methods, and above all, it will require a significant amount of patience and love. (6/11)
We’ll learn to take good care of our finances, instead of spending carelessly, we’ll save and invest, we’ll always have on our radar the possibility of another pandemic hitting our planet and bringing us all to a halt. (7/11)
We are going to spend more time in nature and less time in crowded bars/restaurants. We will run out of excuses not to take care of our bodies through nutrition/exercise. Our emotional, physical and spiritual well-being will have to be our number one priority from now on. (8/11)
We’ll have a lot more time to educate ourselves and be informed about what kind of leaders we want handling the next crisis. We’ll learn to value science, we’ll look up to those scientists and economists that act with integrity. They will be our new leaders. (9/11)
Back when I played sports, right after suffering an injury, my first thought was: I can’t wait to heal and go back to normal. I’m afraid there’s no such thing as going back to normal this time. (10/11)
Things have changed significantly, and now we need to adapt quickly and focus on the positives. The sooner we do this, the happier our lives will be and the stronger our children will become. (11/11)
