KUWAIT and how it’s people are handling Corona virus breakout, THREAD:

EVERYTHING in Kuwait is shut down, schools, uni, malls, barbershops, restaurants, shops, clinics, etc..

The whole country is on lockdown for 6 months straight, they established a curfew from 5pm till 6am.

Ever since the first corona case, Kuwait was ready to put out a whole medical staff in the airport to test EVERY person that enters Kuwait for free.

ALSO Kuwait canceled all flights coming in or going out.

the suspected patients or the people who came from countries that had a huge covid break out would be put in a 5 star hotels or chalets (pics) as a Quarantine environment. Those ppl stay there for 14 days to insure their safety and society’s for free.

we have press conference EVRYDAY, that way the society knows everything that goes on, how many cases had increased, ppl that got well and every little detail, that way people wont panic and feel safe. And also give instructions from the government.

everyone got paid leave for the entire 6 months. FULL SALARY.

being worried about the workers who couldn’t work due the lockdown and their family Kuwait made a movement to raise money to help pay for their necessaries. in a very short time Kuwaitis raised over 30 MILLION USD

MANY Kuwaitis and non are putting their lives in risks to help people, they are volunteering in almost everything from helping the medical staff to organize things, to deliver food to ppl and many other things.

- the Government announced that any resident that wants to go back to their country, Kuwait will help them return for free.

SUPERMARKETS
are limiting how many ppl can go inside, put chairs outside & ppl wait for their turns while social distancing. They also put hand sanitizers in front every store.

The Government didn’t allowed prices to increase & punished whoever took advantage of the situation

there’s also rules that don’t allow anybody to hoard too many items unnecessarily, that way people won’t panic about food shortage.

Kuwait plans one of the biggest evacuation plans ever and sends airplanes all around the world to bring Kuwaitis back to be safe and sound in their homes.

in the meantime Kuwaiti charity volunteers are ensuring that Kuwaiti students that r studying outside the country are well. They r giving out food to Kuwaitis and whoever is around them.

Kuwait donated 10 MILLION USD to IRAN.

and of course we cannot forget the hospital cleaners not only they very work hard, they are barely paid enough. #heroes.

KUWAIT rented hotels only for their Kuwaiti citizens that live outside the country, its free and with food. That way they ensure Kuwaitis are quarantining and safe.

ALL Kuwait banks delay loans payment for 6 months due COVID.

ALL the telecommunications companies in Kuwait collaborated in encouraging staying home by giving free internet and phone calls for a month

UPDATE: since the supermarkets are limiting how many people can go in instead of making people wait outside, Kuwait developed an app you can wait in line thru it while being at home

UPDATE:

since KW is bringing back all the Kuwaitis that are aboard, they developed an app mainly targets them. It helps the Ministry of Health keep taps on them and making sure they are sticking to the instructions and quarantining at home. +

+ some features of the app include the latest health updates, a health Bot, a check-in for quarantined patients, vitals check and a communication link to MOH medical teams.

+ and to help achieve that they also added an electronic bracelets for each person.

-checking the person’s location to making sure they r home.

-alerting the person that there’s another suspected patient feets within.
