As Fashion Revolution Week kicks off tomorrow we at RRR thought we would share some Fashion Love Stories from the team, participants and friends of the project.

1st up Fashion Curator @CharlotteMcRey. In a 1970 Dorothy Perkins top she got at oxfam "I feel like I’m about a foot taller when I wear it this because it’s so elegant and comfortable. I love how the sleeves flutter, it makes every gesticulation more expressive and interesting"
Working from home means that RRR Project manager Joe can wear his favourite footwear while on the job
Participant @nataliehcole (with Axl) "Has to be my skull shorts. Worn them on a building site, up mountains and dry super quick if you get caught in the rain. Still as good as when I bought them over 8 years ago"
RRR Tech hero Aidan is here modelling his fave chain mail jumper "It's heavier than a jumper ought to be and is the closest I'm going to get to wearing chain mail in day to day life."
More to follow 😁
One small problem on the team at RRR is that we all get on so well, that some staff members are beginning to look alike.
@clolavelle @niamhson
@ablett_clare curator of history "I got this wetsuit when I was 15, my first one and its still going strong. Lots of fond memories out in the water with this so can't wait to get back on again. Then it's paddle boarding time" @UlsterMuseum
Discover Art legend and RRR friend and Facilitator is taking lockdown well it seems
Fashion from NMNI Finance officer Dawn. "It's my 'gig' jacket... I love it because it’s so colourful and has a lot of great memories with friends listening to good music and dancing"
Speaking of dancing...NMNI community engagement officer @GeraldineNolan "so here's a little something that I like to wear as I am The Dancing Queen 👑🎶😂"
"This is me in my favourite jacket to work in during (and out of) lockdown. I've had it a good few years Its fluffy on the inside, keeping me warm and clean when I'm making things outside. Also looks like a lumberjacks" @Felting_Fox
Had been wanting to do something like this for a while, found this jacket at last year's Bangor flea and added the cuffs, patch, back panel and badges. 😊 All hand sewn because sewing machines are expensive 😁" Participant Lucinda.
RRR Youth Ambassador @NiamhKelly421 "I love summer-y clothes that remind me of outdoor adventures and craic (even while we have to stay inside)"
@AndyDMcDowell design manager at NMNI with some chameleon tips. "I dressed exactly like an exhibition we just opened. Just because I love the design of Culture Lab so much. Or so I can blend into wall and jump out on visitors."
Friend and facilitator of RRR workshops Thomas Wells. "Sometimes you do what you can to make yourself feel better!" Rachel from friends. Customised curtains by Oxfam and adapted shirt by Primarx. Hair & Make up by Thomas Wells, frozen chips provided by the freezer.
Art Curator @Kim_Mawhinney "I love these clothes and that is why I wear a variation of them most days. Since I was 14 I always wear something purple, even if you can’t see it, it is always there"
Art Curator @AnnaLiesching "I'm always happiest when I’m wearing just one garment of clothing, especially if it’s a black dress. Just having to wear one thing means that the sun is probably out and I don’t need to think - I can just go!"
NMNI Programming Development Officer @cailinlynn with a controversial combo "I wear them travelling, on planes, trains, long car journeys, all through the summer, now they're my homeworking shoe. I wear all kinds of socks, the more colourful and garish the better."
Coordinator @clolavelle... "Not my every SINGLE day lockdown attire tbf but I’ve always been drawn to a 'find the fun/make the most out of things mentality' , especially when times are challenging. This outfit makes me feel glamorous hopeful and slightly ridiculous.
Youth Engagement Officer (YEO) @smarttrumpet (me) I love jumpers and didn't know how to choose a fave.. So I didn't, I wore them all. Genuinely struggled to put my arms down.
Model is wearing 9 jumpers
Best fashion Love story for last. Y.E.O. @Brambles_show has mostly been wearing... 😍

Coordination skills from @UlsterMuseum Asst Visitor Services Manager @mcateer_eva "I’m big fan of colour and pattern and am especially pleased with myself if I co-ordinate with my surroundings!"
@UlsterMuseum General Manager @AbekusRay has gone for a casual approach "I always wear a shirt and tie at work but can't wait to get home and relax by changing into my assortment of surf flip flops, jogging bottoms and t-shirts"
Now we're not sure if NMNI Head of Audience development Aaron Ward stole @AbekusRay look or if it was the other way around. "Classic t-shirt, jean shorts and flip flops. A timeless fashion choice come rain, sun or shine." #theresashadowhangingoverme
Visitor Services Manager @jess_hoyle is feeling floral -🌼🌹🌻🌺 "I'm always happiest in a dress and especially love wearing anything with flowers on. It always reminds me of spring and nature, today I am blending in with the blossom trees!"
Participant Ruairí lockdown experience. "I haven't got my usual super fashion items as I'm on lockdown in Co.Down and only have few changes of clothes, but I'm lucky to have been given some radical 7-year old tye-dye shirts courtesy of an early @felting_fox business model!"
NMNI Head of Marketing/PR Sinead. 1st Fashion Love Story that isn't clothes "...it has to be sunglasses. Was difficult to choose between handbags and sunglasses but I'm going with the sunnies! I must have about 10 pairs. Memories of sunshine, holidays, relaxing and fun times"
Picture library exec @StephenWeir18 has been pounding the pavement and blinding passers-by with that one extra white leg. "I wouldn't recommend anyone else get this close to them but these are the only thing standing between me and a 40inch waistline during lockdown."
What about 1 from @NIMuseums? Rachel Archibald, Museum Officer, Ballymoney museum
"This is me in my wedding dress, sitting on a piano stool (grateful for a sit down!) on my wedding day. I love this dress, it reminds me of happy times, celebrating with family and friends "
Participant @HannahLizSharp is currently in luck "I love patterned, floaty dresses when we get the weather for them!" 🌞
Participant @turtles673 Tells us her Fashion Love Story "This is one of my favourites jackets, because it reminds me of Spring time and it's so colourful! I bought it second hand and it was made ethically and from sustainable cotton. The floral design and colours are gorgeous!"
NMNI Head of Curatorial @hannah_m_crowdy "I love yellow as it’s such a cheerful colour, it always lifts my spirits. I used to apologise for this coat as it’s so bright, but now I’m past caring! However, my colleague
@kim_mawhinney is not a fan!" -Prob cause it's not🟣or ⚫️Hannah
We'll finish this evening with NMNI Chief Executive @KThomsonNI who may own more animal print than the entire thread combined. "I love my animal print, obviously I never get to wear it all together, but hey, its lockdown, who’s going to see me??"
