Snitch lines are flawed tools as they are easily misused and abused. There are many historical examples of innocent people having their lives ruined by malicious or overzealous false reporting.

What the city should do is stop sending mixed messages. You can’t say on your website that it’s ok to go out on daily walks for exercise/fresh air, but at press briefings, tell people to stay home and don’t go out. #topoli #covid19 #pandemic

Mixed messaging results in stupid hashtags like #staythefuckhome, which come from a place of privilege. If the concern is about asymptomatic carriers transmitting #covid19 to other Torontonians, then promote mask wearing beyond burying it in a webpage. #topoli #covid19 #pandemic
