sometimes i think about how sad it would be if a hypmic character d/ed, like kr wouldn't do that right?

and so i said, let's make a hypothetical thread where one person in the division 'departs' from the story...
ichiro: can you imagine how awful jiro and saburo would feel? they've always been relying on ichiro to support them and now they're left alone. jiro knows that he's the big brother now and he's too scared he's going to mess up with saburo. they're not ready yet. not yet.
jiro: ichiro can only feel failure. he's supposed to protect the two of them, but now he's left with one brother. saburo can only feel guilt for all the times he's called jiro stupid. yet he's saying it over and over again - he's so stupid for leaving them behind.
saburo: ichiro feels the pain of losing a brother all the same. they know he had such a promising future, but they failed to help him towards it. jiro feels he should've been better. he shouldn't have hit saburo all those times - why did that have to be the last time he held him?
samatoki: they shouldn't be so hung up on this. samatoki always knew his life was dangerous and that they shouldn't get so attached to each other. yet jyuto's anger only boils; he blames his own inaction for being unable to save him. rio didn't want to see another comrade go.
jyuto: no matter how many times samatoki picked on him, he beats himself up over his inability. rio knows they've lost the one person who would always bail them out; the one who'd always hear them out. he wasn't finished. jyuto had more things to do; more people to save.
rio: they should've eaten more of his cooking. all those times they were fearful of what he was proud of, samatoki and jyuto regret never finishing their last meal with rio. there's the sting of alcohol burning in their throats as they remember the good nights they shared.
ramuda: they tried. they tried so so so hard to save him. gentaro and dice never regretted making a promise to save him, but at least ramuda isn't in pain anymore. they hope ramuda had fun till the end, because it's going to be a little harder to smile without him.
gentaro: they never got to know him. he's always kept his cards close to his chest, and his friends distant. no matter what dreams he had, they know they can't accomplish them for him because they think gentaro never trusted them enough. they just wished he put his faith in them.
dice: nobody will remember him except these two. gentaro and ramuda knew his bad luck would catch up, but they'd kept wishing for one more day. and another one more. who knows. there's nobody to brighten the mood anymore. maybe they should've been a little nicer to him.
jakurai: he was an angel. nobody would've helped rejects like doppo and hifumi, but jakurai saw their fears. there won't be anyone to help them like he did. champagne tastes a little duller, though hifumi just wishes he'd get a crack over the head with a bottle again.
hifumi: doppo couldn't bear it. a world without the person who care about him the most... in all honesty, he'd believe a world without his best friend would be one he wouldn't want to live in anymore. jakurai would be left all alone again.
doppo: "who else will put up with me?" doppo saved hifumi countless times, now hifumi's destroyed by how he couldn't save his best friend. jakurai blames himself - he's a failure of a doctor for not being able to save his patient - his friend. he deserved better than misfortune.
sasara: rosho has lost the only one who swore his faith to. what's a duo without one of them? there's no reason to smile anymore; no reason to laugh. he should've continued on the stage with him if he realised their time'd be shorter. rei's sad that talent like that went to waste
rosho: everyone leaves him. sasara has lost too many people in this world, yet he still put on a brave smile for everyone. everyone else is still alive, so why did the one person he put his heart in pass on? rei might feel much towards them, but the respect he feels isn't unheard
rei: they shouldn't care too much, should they? yet they realise how awful the thought was. no matter if rei was a shitty guy, he was still a teammate. they know that nobody's going to mourn a man like that... but they'll still feel something for him anyways.
kuko: who else will be there to guide jyushi? he was the coolest master anyone could ask for, but at this point, jyushi swears he misses being slapped up by that guy. hitoya's crushed, knowing that he couldn't protect his friend's son. he won't ever be able to face him again.
jyushi: he was too young; the first friend kuko had made since he was abandoned, and he can't help but beat himself up over how he wasn't able to make him strong enough. yet hitoya's seen this before; it's not the kids not strong enough, but him for being unable to help them
hitoya: kuko swears he shouldn't have been so hard on him. the kids gave him hell whenever they acted up, not really thinking of hitoya's feelings. jyushi's lost the one person he knew he could always rely on. without hitoya, they'll just be scared little kids...
I think the thing that ruins me about all groups is that even just one of them leaving would hurt them all. A pair can't just go on without them. They all care about each other so much.

They aren't just teammates. They are family.
