Starting a thread of the food we made or ate while in quarantine because why not

hi @PaoloJustinCo , look at our subpar culinary skills https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😬" title="Grimacing face" aria-label="Emoji: Grimacing face">
Prequarantine: A week before the quarantine started, we bought a big-ass jar of nutella, so we paired it of with some strawberries. And this was my first time eating strawberries, too!

And yes, I know we didn’t technically cook this but cmon... strawberries
Scotch eggs using quail eggs (bc we’re being frugal and regular eggs are expensive as heck)!

First time we seasoned something this “complicated” by eyeballing it!

I miss eating at SEARCA :( it’s where we got the idea from
Definitely the most photogenic food we had... bread from @wildbreadslb

yea, we didn’t make this obviously, but this saved us from a lot of cleaning (plates, pots, and pans) because we didn’t have to cook rice every morning anymore!!
Gave fried chicken another shot, and this was cooked to perfection!! Also, the chickens are from chowking and it did. not. disappoint.

Cooked some potatoes as well because we had a lot of leftover breading.

Sometimes we also paired the chicken with fish fillet!
We bought pesto for our pasta! It was absolutely delicious https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤤" title="Drooling face" aria-label="Emoji: Drooling face">

Might make this regularly when classes start again!
For breakfast, we had tuna, my favorite omelette, and a chocolate “Paolo Birthday Happy” cake for the birthday boy

This was the best that we could do, and it was still an excellent meal
Some spinach-and-potato-filled meatballs. We made our own recipe for this one, and damn did it come out WAYYYY better than we could have ever expected.
Toasted sourdough bread, another unexpected one: THE BEST omelette ever, and leftover meatballs.
Pao and I keep debating about whether this could still be called a kamote cue if it’s not on a stick.

But anywayyy, used cocosugar for this one and it’s great!
Cooked adobo. It was the best one I& #39;ve cooked so far in my life!

Meal prepping is fun!
Nutella-filled crepes a few days agoooo...

Honestly it was fluffier than a crepe but not as fluffy as a pancake. Weird. But still good enough for me
Cheesy potato and spinach omelette. Tried to whip out anything I can use so I can make a “decent” meal.

I surprised myself, too.
Porkchops I slightly burned because I was too hooked on HTGAWM
Look at these bigass organic eggs I got!

Of course I had to turn it into an omelette.
