what NSFR means & when it is and isn't necessary: a thread

NSFR means not safe for ramadan! a lot of people put this for food but I believe it goes against what ramadan is about. Ramadan is about fasting from food/water as well as resisting the temptation to eat under any circumstances (minus those that allow u to break ur fast).

Additionally, seeing food will NOT break our fast. A lot of muslims cook, go to school, work, etc while fasting so just seeing pictures of food/water won't hurt us. some of us even look at food videos or pics just to pass time. It's kind of offensive that ya'll feel the need to

baby us while were fasting. just treat us normally please! However, please DO tag any nsfw content NSFR bc that CAN interfere with our fast. If you always rt/post anything explicitly nsfw please put the tag in your dn so we know who to mute for the month, it would be v helpful.

I don't want yall to stop posting nsfw stuff bc it's your acc and that's not fair to you so having nsfr in ur dn let's us know who to mute so we simply don't have to see it

anyways, if yall baby me and tag food nsfr i will personally kick ur shins. i'll be fine, ive went to school for hours, helped my mom in the kitchen, etc while fasting.

oh additionally, it wont break our fast to see yall cussing either as long as we are not the one's cussing and swearing.

edit: i've gotten a few questions about this but yall do not have to put nsfr if you swear. seeing yall swear won't hurt us as long as we aren't the one's doing it because we're the ones who are supposed to refrain from swearing, gossiping, etc.
