Just a reminder that Huntington Beach is the white middle class and conservative part of SoCal. They very recently pushed to be exempt from being considered a sanctuary city, and their govt officials have argued that pushing for voting rights is “reverse racism.” https://twitter.com/joshuapotash/status/1251265910498787329

When folks mention that California is very liberal, I want folks to know that this type of racist community exists just outside (and tbh also within) most liberal cities. Just look at how often nazis attack the bay and Sacramento.

Not to mention that Orange County has a deep rooted history with the kkk.

This isn’t a “they should get the rona” post. Cuz yes these conservatives are putting themselves at risk of contracting covid-19, but more importantly, they’re putting other marginalized folks and essential workers at risk. And they don’t care.
