URGENT volunteer help needed in Toronto ASAP

@COVID_19_Canada has received an urgent call for volunteers for TWO NURSING HOMES in Toronto.

The call is for anyone in the Toronto region who can provide IMMEDIATE volunteer support to these homes.

The homes currently do not have any COVID-19 positive cases and have sufficient PPE for all staff and volunteers.

IMMEDIATE help is needed in the below areas. Many positions require no prior experience w/ personal support work or eldercare.

•Personal care (dressing, feeding assistance, minimal bathing supervision)
•Nursing
•Physiotherapy
•Dietary assistance (cooks, food distribution)
•Housekeepers
•Entry screening
•Social activity leads
•One-on-one social visits
•Footcare nurses & doctors
