I just came here to say that the HCF pilot is fucking brilliant
Classic Joe
Cannot understate how much I love this show
three episodes in the HCF rewatch and yeah, the clunkyness of the first season is definitely showing.

but the brilliance is there already, and knowing how far some characters will go...
Joe being a Don Draper-clone in season 1 is getting a bit tiring. He gets a lot more depth later on, though.
Another somewhat clunky episode and yet, this scene with Cameron is just perfect and such great character development
And this, of course, another great scene.
Still a Don Draper stand-in, for now, but still. Joe feeling utterly destroyed is something to watch.
And of course this episode introduces the other coders, I forgot how much fun they are.
God, Cameron is so great already
OTOH the creators clearly did not yet figure out what to do exactly with Donna
Like, her c-story with her boss is just... meh
God this show at times has not yet figured out how to really write interpersonal conflicts, some of them are just baffling
Cameron/Joe is also weirdly clunky a lot of times, but it takes them seasons to figure that one out... sort of
On the otherhand, Bosworth, and his relationship with Cameron is already great
I mean this scene was just, *chef kisses fingers*
god I hate this storyline, the guy also has a very punchable face
she& #39;s MARRIED you dickhead
oh I think here is where the bit I hate about season 1 is starting
god I hate this part
oh god, it& #39;s much worse than I remembered
I hate hate HATE this part but this bit is funny
I mean, he& #39;s not wrong
hell yeah
one OccasionMaster, please
God I kinda knew what was coming but didn& #39;t remember exactly how and... yeah. I hate this part. I get it, but I hate it, and I really wish they would have not done this.
hate it hate it hate it
gaaaaaaaaah
ngl I got goosebumps
this, this is a great scene, though.
And that& #39;s a wrap on season of HCF. Honestly, I mostly hate the season finale. It& #39;s depressing, anticlimatic in the worst ways, Joe walking out feels forced, Gordon being robbed makes no sense and so on. But hey, Mutiny is up and running, so!
Let& #39;s get season 2 started!
God this is going to be a hard watch knowing how the seasons ends re: Cameron and Donna
Whoever thought Scoot McNairy looks better without a beard was very, very wrong
Okay so showing Cameron/Joe, then cutting 20 months forward, then this, all in 10 minutes... what were the writers smoking
Well, he& #39;s not... wrong
Not sure I ever made peace with this tbh. The introduce it but the important bits happened off-screen because of a timejump, and that just does not sit well with me.
Goosebumps
