This month's @JewishRen magazine features a series of fascinating articles on declining Jewish communities in the north of England.

I was asked to write about the history of Hull and its Jews, and to consider whether my home city's situation is typical of what has happened...
to Jewish communities essentially everywhere in Britain outside of London and Manchester.

The magazine is only available to subscribers but I have permission to share my article online (hopefully it is legible!).
If, like me, you're not a regular reader of @JewishRen, I'd encourage you to take a look - especially if you're a northern Jew and can get hold of this month's edition, featuring Grimsby, Middlesbrough, Bradford, Darlington, Newcastle, Huddersfield, York and more.
Wherever you are - north or south, home or away, I hope you are well and wish you a very good Shabbos!
