Ramadan is coming up & so is this use of "nsfr"/"not safe for Ramadan" and I just want to touch on this subject briefly. Although I know it's out of the kindness of your hearts, it's not necessary to do such and can hinder some people's fast(1)
Fasting is a way of learning self-discipline, to be able to tell yourself "no i don't need this" and also experiencing first hand what others experience every day. you're suppose to experience your normal every day and still fast; you do your usual routine (2)
by tagging nsfr, as kind as the action is, you may be hindering someone's fasting experience. it's suppose to be hard, it's suppose to difficult - but it's worth it. that's why we do it. getting everyone to tag food, etc. it's as helpful as you think (3)
anyways I hope everyone has a wonderful ramadan, it's nice to see how people want to help during this month of celebration and fast, but it's important to also know why we fast and what it's used for, bc nsfr is pretty much counter productive to this point
