Ramadan is coming up & so is this use of "nsfr"/"not safe for Ramadan" and I just want to touch on this subject briefly. Although I know it& #39;s out of the kindness of your hearts, it& #39;s not necessary to do such and can hinder some people& #39;s fast(1)
Fasting is a way of learning self-discipline, to be able to tell yourself "no i don& #39;t need this" and also experiencing first hand what others experience every day. you& #39;re suppose to experience your normal every day and still fast; you do your usual routine (2)
by tagging nsfr, as kind as the action is, you may be hindering someone& #39;s fasting experience. it& #39;s suppose to be hard, it& #39;s suppose to difficult - but it& #39;s worth it. that& #39;s why we do it. getting everyone to tag food, etc. it& #39;s as helpful as you think (3)
anyways I hope everyone has a wonderful ramadan, it& #39;s nice to see how people want to help during this month of celebration and fast, but it& #39;s important to also know why we fast and what it& #39;s used for, bc nsfr is pretty much counter productive to this point
