1. GO TO THE TOILET WHEN YOU NEED TO. i know this sounds ridiculous/trivial, but you& #39;ll be holding it back while killing time, you won& #39;t wanna move, it seems like a waste of energy. go anyway. it will also release some of that tension and undefined anxiety, trust me.
2 . WASH YOUR FACE. baby steps. you& #39;ll be in the bathroom at some point. just splash a lil water, i& #39;m not talking about a sKiNcArE rOuTiNe

3. OPEN THE BEDROOM WINDOW. or some other window. even if it& #39;s just once a day. even for five minutes. you know you need that oxygen.
4. DO STUFF OFFSCREEN. i know, it& #39;s hard to even conceive of anything to do that& #39;s not on there. even if you just stare out your window. even if you just close your eyes for a few moments (naps are allowed). let your eyes rest, just for a sec.
5. CHANGE YOUR SOCKS. i know getting dressed can be hard, showering, changing your underwear can be hard. change your socks - you& #39;ll be done in three seconds w/o actually taking off clothes. bonus points if you apply deodorant. (no. i know. it& #39;s cool.)
6. TEXT SOMEONE. you don& #39;t have to say anything smart - you don& #39;t even have to say anything. send a friendly emoji. a gif. a meme. whatever - what& #39;s important isn& #39;t the content, it& #39;s the connection. (& #39;ugh

7. VITAMINS. i know you probably don& #39;t have an organic fruit/veggie buffet at home rn. eat an apple. eat one slice of an apple. eat one grape. pop one of those vitamin fizzy things into a glass of water. it& #39;s fine. it& #39;ll do.
8. EAT WHEN YOU& #39;RE HUNGRY. no, seriously, it& #39;s like with going to the toilet. don& #39;t postpone it. you don& #39;t have to cook. you don& #39;t have to eat much. you can eat in your bed if that& #39;s what needs to happen. but you need to eat, ideally more than once a day. a slice of bread is ok!
9. DO SOMETHING LUXURIOUS. that& #39;s a heck of a term, and broad, and flexible. but it& #39;s whatever, it& #39;s relative. paint your nails. paint one nail. spray perfume. spray deodorant. light a candle even. take a very deep breath (and let it out again). put your feet on the pillow. yay!
10. READ ONE SENTENCE. no, really. offline. like, of a book or something. just one! you can do it! i promise! if more sentences happen, that& #39;s nice! if not, that& #39;s nice too bc you read the one sentence!
11. LISTEN TO MUSIC. you don& #39;t have to make a playlist. you don& #39;t have to curate it! or pay attention even. just put it on, it can be whatever, maybe a random calm-ish online playlist. have a nice background. you& #39;re your own café. your own party. don& #39;t think about it.
12. SLEEP. yes, i know! our sleep rhythms are nonexistent. if you can afford to, sleep whenever you feel like you could fall asleep rn, no matter when. all the stuff will be there when you wake up. you won& #39;t miss anything important, the internet will tell you all about it later.
13. CLEAN A SMALL THING. wipe that one kitchen counter. vacuum one room. splash water on that toothpaste clump. change the sheets. or the pillowcase. or just flip the pillow if you& #39;ve been on the very same side all the time. take the next hand towel from the stash. that& #39;s okay.
14. F*CKING BREATHE. there are too many clichés and romanticized breathing norms around this. no. even if it& #39;s just while reading this, breathe out. just think about your breath for a sec. you don& #39;t have to have a meditation routine. just remember sometimes that you& #39;re breathing.
15. COMB YOUR HAIR. i& #39;ve had phases with my brush next to my bed bc i just could not do it otherwise. if fingers are more realistic, so be it. don& #39;t stress about it. just do a casual vertical scritch. that& #39;s alright. you did it.
16. COLLECT THE TRASH. if you can take it out, yay! if not, just put it in one containable place. i know what depression kitchen looks like. put it together, don& #39;t let it fly around. pick up the one tissue. put that one thing in the bin. just 1! you& #39;ll get another one next time.
17. DO SOMETHING YOU ENJOY. i know things aren& #39;t exactly sparking joy rn, but trick yourself into it. make yourself watch a fav film. put your feet on the couch table. belt out a song. or just the chorus. just one line! point finger guns at someone. or the mirror. the wall. YES!!
18. MAKE YOURSELF LAUGH. it& #39;s not important why. a cat video will do. movie scene. grimace! accents! cringy dance move! bloopers! (trust me... search for one of those things once and youtube will recommend forever.) be ridiculous, that& #39;s not the point

19. TELL YOURSELF YOU& #39;RE OKAY. bc you are, to some extent! you& #39;re able to read this, so not all hope is lost then! you& #39;re not at your best, but you& #39;re here, you& #39;re conscious, you& #39;re breathing, that& #39;s great! don& #39;t forget that. (it& #39;s easy to. i forget all the time!) you& #39;re alright!
20. NOTICE/REMEMBER NICE STUFF. doesn& #39;t have to be a billion carat moment. you have that nice friend who is nice! you petted the neighbour& #39;s cat! chocolate cake is a thing that still exists! you caught your coffee mug that one time + it didn& #39;t shatter! that cloud is very pink!!!!
