So bleach’s ending wasn’t an asspull and Ichigo has a form of fate manipulation. Thread.
Before you read just to clarify Mimihagi = Right hand of the soul king
So Yhwach absorbed the soul king right? The soul king represents stagnation. Aka stasis. Stability. A being who essence is stability, cannot have a future, as they do not progress, they remain stagnant. This is one of the reasons the soul king can interfere with the almighty, +
because the theory is the almighty cannot affect the dead. The dead have no future. So you cannot see the future of something that’s dead, or stagnant. Fast forward to the ending when uryu hits him with the arrow. That was because Yhwach was recklessly using his own power+
AND the soul kings power. The almighty doesn’t have perfect clairvoyance even tho it’s passive. That’s was shown by aizen being able to interfere with the almighty with his hypnosis. So that confirms the almighty can be affected. +
Since Yhwach was using the power of the almighty and the soul king, it interfered with the almighty and allowed him to be hit by the arrow. Since the mimihagi (soul king) is a stagnant being, the almighty will not work perfectly all the time when also used with the soul kings+
power. Thus making it imperfect, which allowed him to be hit by the arrow and Yhwach was not able to see it. The still silver arrow had effect because it was made from “auschwalen” and the blood of the dead Quincy. So that plays into how the arrow also weakened the almighty.
Y’all remember how he broke ichigo sword right? So you wondering why when he tried to break it again a new sword came out? It was the mimihagi. When he attempted to use the almighty’s power to break the sword, he ended up using the mimihagi’s because the almighty was too weak so+
The mimihagi stabilized Zangetsu instead of breaking it, because Yhwach used the wrong power not realizing the mimihagi had already been interfering before. If you wondering why the mimihagi didn’t effect him in any other fights he got in, it’s because he wasn’t exerting enough +
power to where the mimihagi could greatly effect the almighty. At the point when he was hit with the arrow, you could argue he was at least exerting most of his power because he was about to collapse the universe into a new existence.
So that’s why Yhwach was only effected by the mimihagi greatly at the end, causing his death. He also wasn’t instakilled, because his reiatsu still remained even ten years later. Also Kazui goat.
As far as Ichigo having fate manipulation goes, here are the statements Yhwach makes basically alluding to him having some form of fate manipulation. If ichigo didn’t have any form of FM, he wouldn’t have stood a chance against Yhwach.
