I’ve never been a huge foamposite kind of guy, but when I started getting more into the sneaker game I ended up winning these, and held a special appreciation for foams in general, and that’s how the “name” I have on here got started.
2012 was a wild year for sneakers. Back when midnight releases were a thing. These especially were a crazy launch, back when no bots really existed on the mainstream level for sneaker consumers. I have yet to see demand for a shoe exceed these. Such an iconic time for shoes.
These 3 shoes were my favorite personals at the time. A lot can be said about the AJ1 becoming super popular, but Kanye wearing them made the hype 10x more intense. Such classic models being merged with designer was a big moment. Back during this era I’d camp out for most things
By far one of the most significant moments was the Miami Vice LBJ 9 launch. I wanted these so bad, my brother & I camped out for 18 hours to secure ours. (1st in line) & even though I wanted a personal, my brother was buying his to flip. This planted the “seed” for reselling.
2012 was a special year. The Nike basketball hyped-era was amazing to grow up in. Basketball shoes were selling for absurd prices. The allure was all in obtaining these really exclusive items, & the chase was such an experience. Win or lose. The Olympics have produced some heat!
2013. Almost every retro was flipping for some extent. No platforms outside of eBay, you’d need to sell locally or find some random person online to deal with, and hope you weren’t getting scammed. These were a special drop, at this stage I had begun flipping to find my addiction
2012-2013 was a movie. So many fire drops.
Most secured online. The shift to digital retail has just begun to take off.
Some the the major pickups during this time. (All those AJ9’s were personals, such a comfy, classic model)
Corks - top 10 Bron for me
DB’s at Nike Georgetown
2014. Does anything else need to be said? Secured off Nike EU, for retail. Arguably the biggest shock drop of all time. (if you were around in this era, you will appreciate the old shirt lol). What a special moment in history
2014 is when my reselling capacity went on a new level. If you think bots are bad now, the RSVP era was a totally different beast. Prelude pack, weekly trips to Georgetown. Tiff High’s
Securing manual box logos in the middle of the day from a friend’s tweet, unheard of. Also Kobe 8’s were such a great shoe during this time. The prelude 1’s were arguably the best (I liked the 5’s the most)
2014. I laugh looking back at how gassed my ego was off a handful of pairs. This is what cooking was to me back then. Nothing better than logging into a cart on Nike with the shoes ready to purchase. Was almost too easy back then!
You might think it’s more advantageous to restrict your advantages to yourself. But networking makes the opportunities much more widespread. This is one of the bigger cooks back in the day. Flourishing. Knowing the right people can really take you places. These hit for the high!
“Resellers ruin the game” is some of the funniest shit I’ve ever heard. This first pic was my personal collection awhile back and most resellers I’ve known are generally former enthusiasts or collectors. Now I have maybe less than 15 personals that I frequently wear.
Some other major pickups. My true first heartbreak in life was losing ~40 DB 8’s by using the same IP to login into carts and checkout pairs.

These LBJ X champ pack lows, you’d have to see them in person to understand

Kobe Nike ID’s that sold for $900!!! What a time 🔥🔥🔥
2015. Fragment 1's. Sold all for less than 1.2k. Back then shoes going for those prices weren't as common unless it was a PE or sample. One of the most subtle, yet beautiful AJ1 to ever release. Quality was unreal at the time.
We're yall around in the era where we wore RF Asics? (yes that's my on foot picture, yes these were fire). Lovely memory, and impressive to see how far Ronnie Fieg has come with his products. Knew back then he was a special creator. Always delivering something different
Sneakers were really fun to flip back when AIR Tech Challenge 2's were selling for pretty crazy prices when I reflect on the past. These were executed really well, great quality.
Nike Sock Darts, do y'all remember when these were the popular trend at the time? If I had to give an analogy these would be like what Sacais were now to some degree. I thought I was hot shit when I took this picture lmao, the rush from hitting limited sneakers is like a high lol
I think this is the moment in sneaker history when automation really began asserting its dominance within the scene. What a crazy release date, two classics in one day. The rest has been history for Kanye, and who knows when we'll get another SBB type Jordan 1 again...
Supreme Jordan 5's. What an iconic crossover. (Peep the MVP Under Armour Curry's in the bottom of the 1st pic). Crazy to reflect on this cook, when it would be a mediocre performance by today's "success" standards. I literally shipped 1 pair to each friends crib to hit
But are you the same animal, and a different beast?

hitting on sites you've never heard of, and the beauty of yeezy's selling for 1k a pop.
Supreme entity, public enemy

energy that I'm harvesting in pursuit of the riches.
"I don't cop things for resale, don't do iCloud, don't do email."

Some of the more elusive items from the past.
Parted ways with all these beautiful, iconic items way too soon. Hindsight is always 20/20
I'll end on this note. The Ten is another iconic point in sneaker history, Yeezy 2 vibes. One of the craziest releases ever. Now we wait for the next major shift in the game. Wonder what the future will hold...

Thanks for reading my journey through the years. On to the next one!
