I receive messages multiple times daily re: helping talent get started on Twitch, or asking for tips/strategies to help position them for success.

I genuinely wish I had time to help everyone (Cloning when?), but I at least wanted to share a few helpful resources in this thread:
1⃣ Getting Started on Twitch:
https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/twitch-music-getting-started?language=en_US

This was created with musicians in mind, but the info can be utilized by talent across the board.

2⃣ Creator Camp:
https://www.twitch.tv/creatorcamp/en/

A great 101 Course for Broadcasters covering important on-air basics and reminders.
3⃣ Recommended Peripheral List:
https://a.co/0ug0MmQ

This is the equipment I use for my own shows. These all make my job easier & shows clean.

4⃣ PC Build

Recommend a PC tower over a laptop.
Haven't had much luck with quality Mac broadcasting (yet)
5⃣ Create with Purpose

"People don't buy what you do, they buy why you do it" - @simonsinek <- You can learn a lot from them!

Ensure that you communicate your driving purpose first and foremost. Make sure your content reflects your purpose and aligns with your goal.
6⃣ Focus in Your Show

Look at your structure:

What is your Foundation? (What is necessary for your show to work?)

What are the Additives? (What are the perks? On screen elements?) <- LIMIT THESE

What are Distractions? (What adds nothing/pulls away from show?) <- REMOVE THESE
7⃣ Create Something You Love

Focus on what you love. I know many successful niche market creators that are living comfortably.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE
DON'T. CHASE. TRENDS.

The followers you generate doing something you don't love will (in majority) abandon you when you stop.
8⃣ Know Your Worth, Respect Your Audience

Your time is valuable, and so is your viewing audience's. Don't over-saturate them with unnecessary content and don't "create for creation's sake" unless for personal discovery.

Find a balance between paid work and passion work.
9⃣ Observe Data, But Don't Become Absorbed

Every entertainment career fluctuates. We all strive to be at the top, but in reality careers are more of a rollercoaster.

There are great days/months/years & there are bad days/months/years.

Observe data w/ long term perspective.
🔟 We are in this Together

The entertainment space is very small. We all know each other. We all talk. No one is above this fact.

Be a beacon for good. Support one another.
Create together, not in opposition.

Don't burn bridges. Help build them.
I hope this thread was helpful, or at least gave you some things to think about with your shows!

I genuinely want the best for the creative sphere. I want to see those who are also pushing for better content + a better community succeeding!

Keep innovating!
