Because I'm tired of all the pontificating by #edutwitter by non-teachers, I'm starting a thread to drown them out.
Teachers: What are some tips or suggestions that are working for you with your students now that might be helpful to another teacher?
I will start.
·Using Google voice since the beginning has been amazing. Kids can text me with questions or just wanting to talk.
·Front loading assignments for my class and allowing for free reading on Thursdays and Fridays.
What are your tip? Let's help each other.
Also!! Another game changer has been Talking Points. We have a large #ELL student population so many teachers use it to communicate. Works like Remind but translates your English text into child's home language. It's awesome. https://talkingpts.org/
