@betway @BetwaySupport have confiscated £5000+ from me for a legitimate win (picture below) and they wouldn’t let me withdraw, so I went to live chat and she said all I had to do was add a new payment type and I was done, can withdraw perfectly fine (picture below)

Then I woke up this morning and it said my account has been suspended (the live chat women yesterday said my account fully verified and I’ve asked for the transcript) so I went to live chat and they come out and say my accounts been closed and winnings have been confiscated?

So I’ve seen on twitter recently a few places saying “closed for business reasons” which is nonsense if the bet had lost my account would still be open no questions asked, they said I broke a term in 7.1 but none of these apply to me? It’s a very vague answer

So @betway @BetwaySupport what’s your verdict then? Confiscating legitimately won funds during a pandemic where stress levels already high with 0 reason or explanation other than “senior manager said so” utter disgrace.

They’re saying a horse double (no matter what stake) which they accepted isn’t legitimate winnings? What are legitimate winnings then

@OfficialAnttix @BetwaySupport interesting this is in your T+Cs Betway? Your live chat suggested a change of payment method on a large withdrawal and no security measures were taken instead just a straight closure?

Just to add after this “outrageous bet” they continued to let me gamble ? Surely a £650 bet would flag up instantly and not allow you to carry on

@Alan_Alger_ @BetwaySupport do you seriously think it’s acceptable your “investigation” is just a copy and pasted terms and conditions list?? I did none of those things so I’d happily like to hear which I have magically broken rather than you just saying you did 1 of these things

Imagine going to someone in court of you may have committed robbery, or murder, or arson, or drunk driving but we can’t tell you which one because it’s a decision from the higher ups!! Utterly disgraceful handling of this, and it took 6 days to do this

Betway again showing their incompetence, in a dispute over horse racing related winnings they only link disputes via eCOGRA which are mainly known for their casino based disputes which there havent been any, @GamRegGB do you think this operator who were fined last month are okay?

And when I say haven’t been any, there have been no disputes, I have played slots a little with the winnings and also some live casino based games but lord knows to me how they can be involved in this
