If you were a political adversary of the United States and you wanted to destroy it, you’d flood social media suggesting:

- open the economy without adequate testing
- unproven treatments like HCQ + Zn + macrolide

You could tank the US economy and kill more people than died in WWII waging a “war without guns” in this way.

Knock the US right out of the rank of superpower.

This is why I view every single tweet suggesting either of these approaches as a foreign adversary. A #bot. Operative. Propaganda. Organized misinformation.

I used to think these tweets and the profiles that generate them were “stupid.” Misguided. Uneducated. People who don’t understand science.

I am no longer so gracious.

The two prongs of this #covid19 anti-science misinformation campaign are not benignly ignorant.

They are willfully destructive.

If you follow them back to their origins on here, you’ll find... no convincing evidence of a real person.

Accounts with 4 followers. Homemade “scientific” references. Misspellings. Username “USAFIRST74664783764.”

100% bots.

This is why you can’t reason against:

1. Opening the economy without testing
2. Worthless treatments

You are fighting against (KGB, some other enemy of the state) misinformation campaigns. Not people.

It’s propaganda.

On the front lines, it feels like a war. It feels like the virus is the enemy.

The virus is a little natural bug.

There IS an enemy lurking out there.

It’s taking advantage of this pandemic to kill more Americans than any other citizens on earth.

And it’s working.
