Our response to the alarming numbers of #domesticabuse cases arising during this present #covid19 #coronavirus lockdown is to launch our nationwide “green phone” initiative.
We all know the public have a dread of calling solicitors because they fear they will be charged. This will give worried people confidence to pick up the phone. This can stop situations escalating.
Family law professionals displaying this symbol on our websites offer anyone concerned about domestic abuse in their household a totally free conversation to discuss their options. 📞
This scheme (to be clear) is open to men, women, and grandparents. It is completely free of charge.
Understanding what the law can do to keep you and your family safe is vitally important, especially during this crisis.
We are running this scheme until September 2020.
We are truly grateful to the increasing numbers of professionals willing to take part in this initiative. Already at 40+ we hope to reach 100 firms/individuals by next week.
We will be informing all MPs, Local Councils and #domesticabuse charities and other organisations about this service.
We are grateful to those professionals who have supported our work over the years. We see this as an opportunity for members of the family law community to make a huge difference to the way families are supported in these difficult times.
If you are a barrister, solicitor, mediator interested in coming on board, registration takes 5 minutes. You will need a mug shot and/or your firm’s logo to hand.
